Marketing Funnels
Marketing funnel models lay out the steps before your customer makes a purchase. In every step in these funnels, the information a customer looks for, how they look for it, and where they look are different. The purpose of using a marketing funnel is to identify where a customer is in the process of our marketing effort and make a plan for the next step.
I found the discussion and comparison between traditional and performance focused funnels really useful.

Why is tracking important, the basics of Google Analytics and how to set it up. The instructor also explains why different tracking tools may show different results.
Why is it valuable?
Learning about marketing funnels really valuable to me because it helps me see where my current Instagram followers are in the marketing funnel and what my next step should be made . Have you been spending all of your time building awareness (e.g. getting IG followers) and not spending anytime on leading your audience down the funnel by encouraging them to sign up for an email list to send them more targeted emails? Like me? lol
Learning how tracking works is extremely important because once the marketing effort is measured, I can choose the best marketing channels for me and test out different changes for their effectiveness!
